Sweet Earth Burrito Review: Big Sur Breakfast

Sweet Earth Big Sur Breakfast Burrito

The Freezer Meal Frenzy crew is pretty much obsessed with Sweet Earth’s International Burrito selection. Their Kyoto is perfect for a quick lunch, and their Peruvian really hits the spot after a long hard, day.

That said, we don’t just crave burritos at lunch or dinnertime. Sometimes, we want to start our day off with a delicious treat. Thankfully, Sweet Earth has a couple breakfast burritos in their line-up, and the Big Sur Breakfast Burrito in particular makes for a great morning meal.

While the picture on the label makes it look rather egg-heavy, the real thing contains more potato than anything else. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing; the potatoes are delicious and make for a hearty breakfast. The flavor of the burrito is light, but it isn’t overly bland. A subtle kick of ginger gives it a very appealing taste.

If you don’t mind the lack of egg — or cheese — the Big Sur breakfast burrito is the perfect way to start off your day. It’s a filling and satisfying burrito that will keep you full until lunch rolls around.

If you’re looking for something with a little more kick to it, you may want to try the Baja Breakfast Burrito, which is also by Sweet Earth. We do have to admit, though, we didn’t like the Baja as much as the Big Sur.
