The staff at Freezer Meal Frenzy is a big fan of Amy’s Cheese Pizza Snacks, which offer a higher quality take on the classic pizza roll formula. We felt it was our duty, then, to check out the Spinach Pizza Snacks as well.
The organic wheat and whole wheat flour creates a tasty shell, and we’re a fan of the powdery texture. A great benefit of the spinach filling is that it has less of a tendency to explode outward and create a mess than the cheese filling does. Our hands stayed tidy through the full meal (besides a bit of powder from the shells), which we were thankful for.
With the spinach replacing the sauce of the Cheese Pizza version, these have a healthier taste to them. And it’s not a deception: They’re lower in calories, fat, and sodium, making them better for the health-conscious than the alternative.
All in all, the Spinach Pizza Snacks by Amy’s Kitchen make for a tasty, low-calorie snack.
