Generally speaking, people don’t pick up microwave dinners when they’re craving a gourmet dish. When people want to eat like kings, they turn to a fancy restaurant, not a freezer. That said, some of Evol’s pasta dishes have a decidedly decadent flavor.

This Portabella & Goat Cheese Ravioli dish may not be much to look at, but it has a very impressive taste. The blend of goat cheese and ricotta is heavenly, and the portabella mushrooms are thick and meaty. The sauce the dish is served with is a little on the thin side, but when it’s mixed in with the cheese, it thickens right up. It’s surprisingly creamy for a ravioli dish; every bite is packed full of cheese.

The healthy helpings of cheese do come at a price. This dish is high in sodium, and it contains 20 grams of fat. Still, the spinach, red peppers, and other vegetables keep this from being just another unhealthy freezer meal. It’s a filling dish with plenty of nutrient-rich ingredients.

This isn’t Evol’s best ravioli; that distinction belongs to their Butternut Squash & Sage Ravioli. Nonetheless, it’s a full-flavored and luxurious dish that packs a lot of flavor into one small package.
