Amy’s Cheddar Jalapeño Swirls Review

Amy's Cheddar Jalepeno Swirls

Amy’s Cheddar Jalapeño Swirls are undeniably tasty. The soft dough they’re encased in is surprisingly delicious; the creamy cheddar cheese and jalapeno filling is also appetizing. What’s the problem? They’re just not as good as their competition.

We sampled the Cheddar Jalapeño Swirls alongside the Mushroom and Cheese Swirls, and the mushroom swirls are clearly the superior option.

That said, the jalapeño swirls are still pretty good, especially if you’re not a big fan of mushrooms. They might not be as spicy as we expected them to be, but they still have an appealing flavor.  You can heat them in just 10 minutes, making them a fast and fun snack.

We could see this as a healthier alternative to jalapeño poppers were at not for the calorie count: the swirls clock in at 220 calories per serving. It doesn’t sound so bad until you realize that the serving size is listed at two swirls, so a box contains three whole servings. Still, if you’re to think of these swirls an occasional treat, the calorie count shouldn’t pose too much of a problem.

If you’ve only got room in your cart for one box of Amy’s Swirls, you should definitely opt for the mushroom flavor. However, if you do pick up a box of jalapeño swirls, you’ll still be able to satisfy the craving.
