Amy’s Pesto Swirls Review

Amy's Pesto Swirls

At Freezer Meal Frenzy, we’re pretty big fans of Amy’s Kitchen’s lineup of swirls. The Pesto Swirls might not be our favorite of the bunch, but they still make for a delicious snack.

Obviously, the big difference between this and the other flavors (like the Mushroom & Cheese or the Cheddar Jalapeño) is the filling, which includes pesto and mozzarella cheese with some dieced tomatoes to sweeten up the flavor a little. It’s a pretty good taste that blends well with Amy’s organic wheat flour dough, and it’s a bit healthier than the other options.

Another standout feature of this particular flavor is that these have fewer calories than some of their counterparts. Here, two swirls contain 180 calories (80 from fat), as opposed to the 220 (80 from fat) of the Cheddar Jalapeño Swirls or the 210 (100 from fat) of the Artichoke & Parmesan Swirls. In fact, they’re tied with the Mushroom & Cheese Swirls in this department. In any case, you won’t feel a whole lot of guilt about grabbing an extra one.

While our favorite of Amy’s swirls are the Mushroom & Cheese (read the full review here), the Pesto Swirls aren’t too shabby. In fact, it’s hard to not recommend all four flavors.
