Sweet Earth Benevolent Bacon, Egg, Cheddar Farmstand Breakfast Sandwich Review

Sweet Earth Benevolent Bacon, Egg, Cheddar Farmstand Breakfast Sandwich

If you’re a vegetarian, then you’re forced to miss out on classic breakfast foods like ham, bacon, and sausage. Fortunately, Sweet Earth is trying to make up for this with a line of vegetarian breakfast sandwiches, replacing traditional breakfast meats with vegetarian-friendly alternatives.

The Benevolent Bacon, Egg, and Cheddar Farmstand Breakfast Sandwich is Sweet Earth’s take on a classic breakfast favorite.

It starts off with a patty of cage-free eggs, covered by a thick layer of cheddar cheese.

The real star of the show, of course, is the Benevolent Bacon, which has a smokey, almost-barbecue flavor to it. Oddly enough, our vegetarian staffers didn’t care for it much while our carnivorous staffers found it to be quite tasty. That said, it certainly won’t trick any meat-eaters into thinking it’s the real deal. It has a grainy texture and lacks the gristle of a legitimate slice of bacon.

One thing our staffers did agree on, though, is that the flaxbread bun that holds this whole package together is very good. It has a pleasant texture, even when microwaved, and the oats on top really serve to make it a special treat.

As a whole, these sandwiches aren’t super filling, but they do come packaged two to a box. Just keep in mind the nutritional information is calculated for a single sandwich, so if you double your serving, you’ll have to multiply all of the nutritional info by two.
