Lean Cuisine Craveables Deep Dish Spinach & Mushroom Pizza Review

Lean Cuisine Craveables Deep Dish Spinach & Mushroom Pizza

Lean Cuisine’s Deep Dish Spinach & Mushroom Pizza does not transcend the boundaries of microwave pizza; it definitely tastes like a frozen dinner. The crust is a little too chewy, and some of the ingredients — especially the spinach — taste like they’ve been reheated. However, it’s still pretty delicious for what it is.

When we took this dish out of the box, we were pretty impressed. It’s clear that Lean Cuisine wasn’t lying about the “deep dish” aspect of the pizza, and it’s also clear that they weren’t stingy with cheese. We were excited to heat it up (using the foldable tray that’s built into the box) and see if it was as good as it looked.

The finished product may not taste like a restaurant meal, but it’s still extremely tasty. What really makes this meal shine is the Alfredo sauce. It’s rich, flavorful, and adds a little bit of something to every bite. While we would have enjoyed a larger helping of mushrooms, it’s hard to say that this particular pizza is lacking in anything.

If you’re looking for a gourmet pizza, look elsewhere. This is a microwave dinner, and it tastes like one. That said, frozen meals don’t have to be tasteless. This is a quick, easy, and appetizing dish that feels like a genuine treat. As long as you keep your expectations in check, you should be very happy with this pizza.
