Sweet Earth: Chana Masala Review

Sweet Earth Chana Masala

While Indian food can be delicious, it isn’t always for people with sensitive taste buds. Dishes like Chana Masala can be incredibly spicy. If you enjoy Indian cuisine but prefer mild dishes, Sweet Earth’s Chana Masala might be perfect for you. However, if you’re craving something spicy, you should pass this meal over.

This Sweet Earth Artisan Bowl isn’t bad, but it isn’t particularly flavorful. While the chickpeas and rice taste fresh, they don’t taste like they have a lot of seasoning. Although the dish contains an ample amount of sauce, it lacks the appealing creamy flavor that a lot of Indian recipes have.

To make things worse, the dish isn’t very filling. It only contains 280 calories, but you’re probably going to want to have a snack afterwards. It mostly consists of sauce and rice. If you’re seeking something that will be able to tide you over until dinnertime, this bowl isn’t what you are looking for.

It’s best not to think of this as a traditional Chana Masala, but a Chana Masala alternative. If you’re scared of spicy foods, but are interested in Indian cuisine, you might really enjoy this bowl. If you want something with some kick, you should try out a different meal.
