Udi’s Chicken Burrito Review

Udi's Chicken Burrito

Udi’s calls itself the #1 brand for gluten-free food in the United States. We’re not sure how this was decided, but we can say that anyone who has to avoid gluten is probably thankful that Udi’s does what they do.

We decided to take their Chicken Burrito for a spin, and we were actually quite impressed.

The trickiest thing to pull of here was obviously the shell, but Udi’s really nailed it. This shell has a nice, almost sweet taste, and it has a nice, powdery texture. It was maybe a little to tough in places, but not enough to diminish our enjoyment.

Inside the shell, you’ll find some good-sized chunks of white meat chicken. This was surprising to us, since we’re big fans of Evol’s Sriracha Chicken Big Burrito, which hardly has any chicken in it at all.

There’s also a good helping of rice, as well as black beans, cheese, and a wee bit of jalapeño. There’s a hint of lime juice to give it some extra zest, though it’s not as noticeable as in Evol’s Cilantro Lime Chicken Burrito.

We’ve had some pretty mediocre gluten-free burritos in our day, so we’re thankful for the little touches that make Udi’s burritos stand out. The Chicken Burrito is a frozen meal we’ll definitely be returning to.
