Udi’s Penne & Cheese Review

Udi's Penne & Cheese Review

Mac and cheese is a classic comfort food, but it’s also strongly associated with kids. If you’re looking for some cheesy goodness, but want something a little more adult, Udi’s has you covered. Their gluten-free Penne & Cheese replaces the word mac with penne to make it sound more like a grown-up treat.

Some of Udi’s gluten-free pasta dishes have issues with texture or dryness. While these noodles may be a little on the dry side, there is more than enough cheese. sauce to cover that up. After a few bites, we didn’t notice any dryness at all.

Udi's Penne & Cheese Review

As a matter of fact, this dish offered so much cheese sauce that we had plenty left over once we’d finished our pasta. We’re not too ashamed to admit that we proceeded to eat the sauce plain. This isn’t like the powdery sauce that you get from a box; it tastes like it was made with real cheese.

Of course, real cheese comes with real calories. This dish has 440 calories, and more than half of them come from fat. That said, this is a wonderful gluten-free comfort meal. If you treat yourself to this cheesy dish, you won’t be disappointed.
