Amy’s Tofu Scramble in a Pocket Sandwich Review

Amy's Tofu Scramble in a Pocket Sandwich

If you’re a vegan — or a vegetarian who avoids eggs — you’re going to have to choose your breakfast options carefully. Eggs are a breakfast staple; it’s rare to find a dish that doesn’t contain any at all. Thankfully, Amy’s tofu breakfast options are a delight. The Tofu Scramble in a Pocket Sandwich isn’t as good as the best Amy’s scrambles, but it is a delicious egg-free breakfast option.

One of the best things about Amy’s scrambles is the texture of the tofu. A lot of tofu has a strange, chewy texture that can be off-putting. Amy’s Kitchen really tries to mimic the taste and texture of egg. It doesn’t taste exactly like scrambled eggs, but it is a close match.

The other fillings enhance the overall flavor of the dish. While we wish the scramble had a few more mushrooms and bell peppers, the veggies that are there are very tasty. Everything tastes very fresh and has a great texture, even when the scramble is heated up on the microwave. If you were to heat this up in the oven, it’d probably have an even fresher taste.

We have no real complaints about this scramble; even the calorie count is impressively low. While it isn’t our favorite Amy’s breakfast product, it’s still one of the best vegan breakfasts around. If you’re trying to avoid eggs, but still want an easy breakfast, Amy’s Kitchen will always take care of you.
