Amy’s Margherita Pizza Review

Amy's Margherita Pizza

Sometimes, eating a personal pizza can feel like a compromise. There are some tasty single-serving pizzas on the market, but they usually don’t compare to the kind of pizza you could order from a restaurant. If you’re dining alone, you don’t have to heat up a sub par pizza. We think the Amy’s Kitchen Margherita Pizza could go toe to toe with a lot of pizzeria dishes.

So what makes this pizza special? Like many other Amy’s dishes, it has a phenomenal sauce. This isn’t a cheap, low-quality tomato sauce; it’s full of flavor and is perfectly seasoned. A lot of tomato sauces try to conceal poor ingredients by adding extra garlic, but this sauce doesn’t have anything to cover up. We’d eat it straight from the jar!

The cheese distribution looks a little uneven in the picture above, but there’s actually quite a bit of cheese buried beneath the sauce. Cheese is an essential component of a good pizza, and this dish contains plenty of delicious mozzarella cheese. The crust is perfection, even when heated in the microwave. It’s crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside — just how we like it!

There are some obvious downsides to this pizza. It’s fairly high in fat, especially compared to other Amy’s dishes. If you’re trying to watch your fat intake, this might not be the meal for you. If you love a pizza with toppings, the organic basil that sits atop the cheese may not be enough to satisfy you. However, you could easily add a few more toppings before you heating the pizza up. We think it would taste great with some diced vegetables!

We’ve tried plenty of single-serving frozen pizzas, and Amy’s Margherita Pizza may be the best one we’ve tried. It’s a simple pizza, but it’s incredibly flavorful. We devoured it in minutes, and we can’t wait to try it again.
