Amy’s Indian Palak Paneer Review

Amy's Indian Palak Paneer

Have you ever finished preparing a meal, only to realize that you forgot an essential ingredient? Maybe you forgot to sprinkle in some spice, or maybe you skipped the sweetener. If you’ve made this mistake, then you have an idea of what Amy’s Indian Palak Paneer is like.

The Indian Palak Paneer isn’t bad, exactly, but it definitely feels like it’s missing something. When we had our first bite, it almost felt like we were eating something that hadn’t been finished yet. Neither the creamed spinach or the beans offered much in the way of flavor, and the rice was extremely bland.

We tried mixing everything together, but it didn’t really fix the problem. Neither the spinach nor the beans were flavorful enough to mask the blandness of the rice. The dish mostly consists of mushy ingredients, which means that the texture isn’t great either. A little something extra, like chunks of potato or tofu, could have made all the difference here.

We didn’t hate this meal, but we didn’t feel like we were eating a finished meal. We hope that the chefs at Amy’s Kitchen go back to the drawing board with this dish. We love Indian food, and we know that they’re capable of coming up with a better dish than this.
