The Freezer Meal Frenzy staff loves a good frozen meal, but we’re not entirely sold on frozen appetizers. We’re not big snackers, and heating up a frozen treat seems a little impractical. However, great-tasting snacks like the DiGiornio Spinach Artichoke Pizza Buns are starting to make us believers.
Like DiGiornio’s other pizza buns, the Spinach Artichoke buns are split up into packs of two. The divided portions make it easy to prepare a single-serving snack. These buns are a great option if you’re looking for a little something to tide you over between meals.
Although the buns contain more dough than anything else, we didn’t find that to be a bad thing. The quality of the preservative-free dough is very high. It’s is also seasoned nicely, which makes it a treat to eat.
However, the highlight of the dish is definitely the cheese. This snack is made with 100% real cheese, and you can definitely taste the difference. The quality of the spinach was also high; we thought it was cooked to perfection.
Even if you’re not a fan of frozen snacks, this appetizer is worth trying. It offers a lot of benefits that other frozen snacks lack — it’s absolutely delicious, it’s fairly low in calories, and it’s easy to prepare. What’s not to love?
