Eat! Bimbap Chicken & Potato Curry Review

Eat! Bimbap Chicken & Potato Curry

The Eat! frozen food line is something we review without joy. One of their meals in particular, the Orange Chicken, has to be among the worst frozen meals we’ve tried at Freezer Meal Frenzy, and we’ve reviewed hundreds of meals here. Since Eat!’s line isn’t very big, and since we care dearly about our readers, we’ve been pushing through these meals so we could give our impressions of each and every one. But it certainly hasn’t been an enjoyable experience.

Thankfully, the Eat! Bimbap Chicken & Potato Curry is the most edible of Eat!’s foods we’ve tried so far. That’s mostly thanks to the coconut curry sauce, which actually has a sweet flavor to it. It’s a little bit spicy, but not overwhelmingly so. If you like your curry with a lot of bite, this might not be for you.

The chicken is inoffensive though inconsistent. Some pieces are alright while others seem a bit hard and dry.

The chunks of potatoes are actually pretty good. They have a nice grilled flavor to them, which we appreciate. There are some peas and carrots in the mix too, though we don’t have much to say about those. But trust us when we say that having little to say about something is a positive for an Eat! dish.

And that’s the thing. We can’t really complain too much about the Eat! Bimbap Chicken & Potato Curry. It’s a bit bland, sure, but it’s miles above the horrific Orange Chicken (which we still have nightmares about), and it’s better than any of the other Eat! meals we’ve tried.

Plus, the calories are nice and low at 250 (70 from fat).

Will we eat this meal again in the future? We doubt it. But it’s slightly better than mediocre, and we appreciate this little respite in the middle of the Eat! frozen food line.
