Morningstar Farms Veggie Classics Chik’n Nuggets Review

Morningstar Farms Veggie Classics Chik'n Nuggets

Chicken nuggets are so much fun.

If you’re a vegetarian, you might miss out on the real deal, but thanks to meatless products like Morningstar Farms’ Chik’n Nuggets, you can snack on something that’s just as good.

A serving of these little guys is four, but you can expect a good 12 to 15 nuggets in a package. We just pulled out five and ate them down without any sauces so our opinions wouldn’t be shaped by any sneaky little condiments.

Seriously, these little nuggets are delicious. While we’re sure they’d go well with a veritable buffet of sauces, like buffalo sauce, bbq sauce, ranch dressing, honey mustard, and even ketchup, these actually taste great on their own.

One of the best features of these particular nuggets is that they don’t get dry in the middle, even when cooked in the oven. Many soy protein products suffer from a sort of dryness that permeates every last bite, but not these. These are soft and moist, just as you’d expect a real chicken nugget to be.

The outsides do have a little bit of crunch to them. While the breading gets a little crispy, it also doesn’t suffer from the “gravel effect,” where the breading crisps into hard, gravelly flakes. No, this breading is great!

Even if you’re a carnivore, there’s very little reason to choose real chicken nuggets over Morningstar Farms’ Chik’n Nuggets. These offer a great flavor and a low calorie count (about 45 calories per nugget). What else could a nugget connoisseur ask for?
