Good Food Made Simple Cheese & Veggies Breakfast Burrito Review

Good Food Made Simple Cheese & Veggies Breakfast Burrito

Breakfast isn’t necessarily the most important meal of the day, but we still love breakfast foods. We’re especially fond of breakfast burritos. There’s something strangely satisfying about biting into a tortilla filled with scrambled eggs.

So when we discovered the Good Food Made Simple Cheese & Veggies Breakfast Burrito, it seemed right in line with our tastes. It’s a breakfast food, it’s a burrito, and it’s even vegetarian-friendly. We couldn’t resist giving this one a try.

We usually prefer to cook our burritos in the oven. Even though the process takes a bit longer, we wind up with a perfectly cooked burrito at the end. However, we opted to follow the microwave instructions for this one. We were skeptical that one minute and 45 seconds was enough to eat this burrito, but when we pulled it out of the microwave, it was quite hot. We did notice that the middle was a bit cold after slicing it open, so we popped it in for about 15 seconds more.

Heating this burrito in the microwave didn’t have a negative impact on the texture. Our tortilla didn’t end up really crisp, but it was soft rather than chewy, which is about what we were hoping for.

The scrambled eggs here are light and fluffy; you’ll find no rubbery eggs here! The cheese melts perfectly over the rest of the ingredients, and the potatoes taste like they were roasted in a pan.

If you’re not a big fan of veggies, this burrito is a great way for you to sneak them into your diet. The only vegetable we could really taste was the organic roasted russet potatoes. Aside from that, eggs and cheese definitely dominate this meal. As vegetable-lovers, we found this to be disappointing, but we know veggie-haters will see this as a perk.

That said, you shouldn’t necessarily assume this burrito is healthy. It has a lot of sodium, and it also contains quite a bit of saturated fat. Still, this little burrito isn’t lacking in nutrients. It’s an excellent source of calcium, Vitamin A, and Vitamin C.

The Good Food Made Simple Cheese & Veggies Breakfast Burrito isn’t our favorite burrito from Good Food Made Simple. Given the option, we’d pick their Greek Breakfast Burrito or the Himalayan Breakfast Burrito over this one. At the end of the day, it all comes down to taste. If you’ve been searching for a simple, basic breakfast burrito that isn’t stuffed with veggies, this meal will definitely impress you.
