Amy’s Indian Paneer Tikka with Aloo Gobi Review

Amy's Indian Paneer Tikka with Aloo Gobi

While Amy’s Kitchen isn’t the most authentic frozen Indian cuisine on the market, their meals are still very tasty. Amy’s Indian Mattar Tofu is favorite of ours, and we love the rich and creamy flavor of their vegetable korma. When we saw that Amy’s had expanded their offerings with Amy’s Indian Paneer Tikka with Aloo Gobi, we were eager to try it out.

Amy’s has another paneer tikka meal in their lineup, but the two meals aren’t actually all that similar. They both feature paneer cheese and basmati rice, but we thought this meal was heads and shoulders above their old dish. Everything is tastier, from the rice to the paneer cheese. The spinach and potato mix was the worst part of the original meal, and we were glad to see it replaced with aloo gobi.

If you’re a fan of paneer cheese, this meal is a must-try. The portions are very generous, and the cheese itself is delicious. It has the milky, mild flavor that we expect from paneer cheese, but the tomato and ginger puree gave it a meaty taste as well. We devoured the cheese, and it’s easily our favorite part of the meal.

Of course, the aloo gobi was no slouch either. The cauliflower has a slight crunchiness to it that we really love, and the ginger gives it a really interesting flavor. We recommend stirring the aloo gobi into the basmati rice; the flavors combine beautifully.

Like most Amy’s meals, Amy’s Indian Paneer Tikka with Aloo Gobi isn’t all that spicy. Thankfully, it has taste to spare. We think that this is one of the best Indian meals in the Amy’s Kitchen lineup. Even though it isn’t an authentic Indian meal, it is a delicious one.
