Dr. Praeger’s Kale Littles Review

Dr. Praeger's Kale Littles

If you’re a regular Freezer Meal Frenzy reader, then you know we are huge fans of the Dr. Praeger’s Littles line. These snacks may be aimed at kids, but our adult staffers love them all the same. We’ve already sampled many different flavors, and we decided to add Dr. Praeger’s Kale Littles to the list.

We’ve found that the best way to cook these snacks is to make them in the oven. You can do it in less than 10 minutes, and you only have to flip them once. Follow the instructions, and you’ll wind up with a baking sheet covered in cutely shaped snacks.

Like all of Dr. Praeger’s Littles, these snacks are absolutely adorable. The fun shapes are hard for us to resist! Unfortunately, we think that this is one of the weakest snacks in the flavor department — they taste way too salty. Don’t get us wrong, they’re still tasty, but the flavor of salt threatened to overpower almost everything else.

We ate these snacks plain, but we think that the right dipping sauce might help to counteract the salty flavor. Something creamy like ranch or blue cheese dressing is probably ideal. Even if you don’t use any sort of sauce, you’ll probably find these snacks to be addicting in spite of their saltiness.

Dr. Praeger’s Kale Littles are the weakest link in the Dr. Praeger’s snack line, but they’re still a pretty great way to up your intake of vegetables. If you think you need more kale in your diet, we recommend giving these bakeable snacks a try!
