Amy’s Black Bean Organic Chili Review

Amy's Black Bean Organic Chili

We’ve been dealing with some cold weather at the Freezer Meal Frenzy office, which has intensified our desire for warm foods like chili. Amy’s Black Bean Organic Chili can’t make the cold go away, but it does make it easier to manage.

Why are you seeing reviews for canned chili on a frozen food site? We’re huge fans of Amy’s product line, and when we realized that they made soups, we wanted to make sure we tried them out. If you love Amy’s like we do, we’d suggest you do the same!

All of Amy’s canned chilis are a cinch to prepare. If you opt to use the microwave, you’ll have a warm meal ready to eat in just two minutes. Thanks to the pull tab on the top of the can, you won’t even have to bust out your can opener.

Amy's Black Bean Organic Chili

Amy’s describes this chili as “not too spicy” on the label, and we’d have to agree with their assessment. There’s no kick to this chili at all; it tastes more like a bean stew. We had to double-check the label to make sure the meal actually contained peppers.

But even though it’s lacking in spice, there is plenty to enjoy here. The chili is made with a tomato puree, and ingredients like lime juice and garlic add more flavor to the mix. If you like beans, but find most chilis to be too spicy, this is probably the meal for you.

Amy’s Black Bean Organic Chili isn’t really our kind of chili. We love meatless chili, but we prefer something with some heat behind it. Still, we know that every chili fan has their own preferences. This is a high-quality stew loaded with tasty ingredients. If you like mild chili, and you enjoy Amy’s products, this is something you’ll want to check out.
