The last time we tried Lean Cuisine’s Four Cheese Pizza, we said it was “worth trying.” The pizza now has a new look and is part of the Lean Cuisine Comfort line, which is why we figured it was worth trying a second time. The Lean Cuisine Comfort Four Cheese Pizza isn’t a drastic departure from the original version of this cheese pizza, and that’s not a bad thing.
Each Lean Cuisine pizza comes in a special box that includes a crisping tray, making it easier to heat the pizza in the microwave. Usually we find these boxes to be pretty easy to open, but this box gave us some trouble. After a minute or two, we did get it open, and we were able to heat up our pizza.
If you like pizza with a crispy crust, then this pizza isn’t for you. Like its predecessor, this pizza has a soft crust with a slightly chewy texture. We enjoyed the crust last time around, and we’d still say it’s pretty tasty. We don’t always love chewy bread, but the crust has an appealing flavor that makes it more appetizing.
The sauce and the cheese aren’t anything special, but they do taste good. Although our pizza looks a little short on cheese in the image above, we felt like we had plenty of cheese when we were eating our pizza. Of course, it would be pretty easy to spice this plain pizza up with some seasoning or additional ingredients, if that’s your thing.
The flavor of this pizza is pretty close to that of the original meal, but there are some key changes. Most notably, the pizza has gone from 380 calories to 400 calories. Those 20 calories might not seem like much, but if you’re watching what you eat, every calorie counts. The pizza also contains more fat, which leads us to believe that they changed something about their cheese.

If you’ve never tried either pizza, Lean Cuisine Comfort Four Cheese Pizza is something you might want to check out. It’s not an amazing pizza, but it’s simple and appealing, and sometimes, that’s more than enough.
