Trader Joe’s Peanut Butter Blondies Review

Trader Joe's Peanut Butter Blondies

If you’re looking for a sweet treat that you can tuck away in your freezer, you might be interested in Trader Joe’s Peanut Butter Blondies. We’ve been thinking about trying out these tasty little squares for a while now — especially since we found this Yahoo Lifestyle review that called them “cult-worthy.” Treats so good they’ll have you putting on robes and sacrificing goats? Sign us up! (That was a joke. We think goats are cute, and we’d never want to actually sacrifice one!)

Of course, before you bite into one of these little bars, you’ll have to thaw them. You can put them in the refrigerator for four hours, let them sit out at room temperature for an hour, or try to microwave them at 30-second intervals. We had plenty of time to kill, so we thawed ours in the fridge.

These come in a sealed pack that contains twelve little bars — yes, these things are itty-bitty! We think they’re adorable (kind of like baby goats!)

And they taste great! These remind us a little bit of peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches, as they have a peanut-butter base with a strawberry filling in the middle. The outsides of these little guys are a little sticky, so you’ll probably want to have a napkin handy — or even eat these with a fork.

On the top is what the package refers to as a “crispy peanut butter confection,” and it is absolutely incredible. If you weren’t sold on these based on the peanut-butter-and-jelly comparison, then you must certainly be swayed by this incredible topping, no? It really completes this tiny little package.

The box considers two bars to be a serving, which is good because you’re certainly going to want to eat more than one at a time. With only 180 calories per two bars, you can probably justify that! (And if you go for a third, we won’t blame you!) Even so, they’re rich and dense, so they make you feel full after eating just a couple.

The Trader Joe’s Peanut Butter Blondies make for a great treat on a hot summer day. We kept ours in the refrigerator, so they stayed nice and cool in the heat — munching on a couple in the middle of the day was definitely a lovely experience!
