Amy’s Indian Curry Korma Wrap Review

Amy's Indian Curry Korma Wrap

While there are many different types of curry, korma is one of our favorite varieties. Korma is traditionally made with yogurt or some sort of cream, giving it a thick texture and an appealingly rich flavor. This Amy’s Indian Curry Korma Wrap is made with coconut milk, which means it’s vegan-friendly, but unfortunately, it doesn’t quite capture the korma flavor that we love.

Cooking this wrap isn’t difficult, exactly; you don’t have to do much more than toss it in the microwave for a minute. However, as you can see in the image below, this process didn’t really go smoothly for us. Our wrap completely fell apart while it was cooking, and slicing it open for a picture made the mess even worse.

If you tend to avoid Indian cuisine because of its spiciness, you should be able to scarf down this wrap without any issues. It’s certainly seasoned, and we definitely wouldn’t describe it as bland, but there’s not any heat here. In fact, we’d say that this doesn’t taste much like korma — or Indian food — at all.

Between the microwave mess and the complete lack of heat, this might seem like a pass. This definitely wouldn’t be our first recommendation when it comes to Amy’s wraps. We’d suggest the Spankopita wrap or the Indian Aloo Mattar Wrap over this one. That said, if you do pick it up, you’ll probably find a lot to like.

The coconut milk gives the wrap an appealing creaminess that we really like, and we love the plenty of veggies and rice. The potatoes are particularly good; they’ve got a hint of crispness to them that nicely complements the softer ingredients. There are also a few unexpected ingredients with here, like organic raisins, giving the wrap a blend of sweet and savory flavors.

If you’re looking for a mess-free, spicy wrap that you can easily enjoy at lunch, Amy’s Indian Curry Korma Wrap is definitely not for you. If you’re a fan of gluten-free and vegan frozen foods, and you don’t mind a bit of a mess, however, you might wind up really liking this wrap. We probably won’t pick it up again, but we were still happy to clean our plate.
