Archer Farms Thin Crust Mushroom & Truffle Oil Pizza Review

Archer Farms Thin Crust Mushroom & Truffle Oil Pizza

Archer Farms has been killing it with their gourmet frozen pizzas. While we’ll never turn our nose up at a basic slice of cheese pizza, we really appreciate frozen pizzas that offer something special. We also love mushrooms, which is why we couldn’t wait to try the Archer Farms Thin Crust Mushroom & Truffle Oil Pizza.

It only takes between 10 and 13 minutes to cook up this pizza, which makes it a great choice when you’re in a hurry. Because the pizza is made with a thinner crust, you can get a perfectly crispy pizza without leaving it in the oven for long. If you’re not a fan of crispy crusts, we’d recommend keeping a watchful eye on this while it cooks. Your crust will start to brown pretty quickly!

While some thin-crust pizzas fall apart when you try to slice them, this pizza holds together nicely. The crust doesn’t crumble, and the cheese remains intact after the pizza is sliced. You should give this a minute or two to cool after it comes out of the oven, but you probably won’t want to wait for much longer than that; it smells absolutely delicious.

This rich, creamy pizza was definitely designed with mushroom lovers in mind. The pizza is topped with plenty of juicy crimini mushrooms, but there’s even more mushroom flavor lurking beneath the cheese. It features an alfredo sauce that is made with truffle oil.

As you might be able to guess, this an incredibly decadent pizza. It’s made from a rich blend of cheeses that includes romano, asiago, fontino, and mozzarella. Add in the creamy white sauce, and you’ve got one indulgent pizza. Thankfully, the thin crust keeps the flavors from being overwhelming.

According to the box, 1/3 of the pizza is considered a serving, though we think you’ll probably want more than that. A half a pizza seems better to us. If you stick with the recommended serving size, you’ll gulp down 300 calories and 590 mg of sodium, which isn’t bad. If you end up scarfing the entire thing in a sitting (which is plausible), that shoots up to 910 calories and 1,770 mg of sodium. Be careful, because once you start eating this pizza, it’s going to be very hard to stop before the whole thing is gone.

If you appreciate a good mushroom pizza, Archer Farms Thin Crust Mushroom & Truffle Oil Pizza is definitely a product that you’ll want to pick up. The next time you have a serious mushroom craving, head to your nearest Target store and pick up one of these delectable pies.
