Lean Cuisine Southwest-Style Potato Bake Review

Lean Cuisine Southwest-Style Potato Bake

Here at Freezer Meal Frenzy, a lot of our favorite dishes don’t taste like microwave dinners at all. We tend to gravitate towards healthy, fresh-tasting that use natural ingredients. Lean Cuisine’s Southwest-Style Potato Bake definitely doesn’t fall under that umbrella. This is a frozen dinner through and through, from the processed-cheese sauce to the texture of the potatoes.

This meal doesn’t taste like something you could prepare at home, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t appetizing. It isn’t a particularly filling dish, but it is flavorful, and the peppers give it a nice kick. Still, it feels less like a meal and more like a side dish; something you could pair up with a nice healthy entree.

If you love potatoes, don’t mind artificial tastes, and are looking for something small to tide you over, this meal should fit the bill nicely. It’s high in sodium, but it’s otherwise not all that unhealthy; it’s low in fat and packed full of potassium. That said, if you’re ravenously hungry or craving more natural flavors, you should opt for one of the other freezer meals that we’ve reviewed. We recommend Sweet Earth’s Bean & Mango Cubano.
