Amy’s Spinach & Ricotta Cheese Ravioli Review

Amy's Spinach & Ricotta Cheese Ravioli

When it comes to ravioli, our staff tends to prefer more unusual fillings. We’ve never met a bowl of butternut squash ravioli that we didn’t like. That said, you really can’t go wrong with a classic. Spinach and ricotta cheese are great ravioli fillings, and Amy’s Spinach & Ricotta Cheese Ravioli is a very tasty frozen meal.

Amy’s Kitchen makes a fantastic tomato sauce, so their pasta dishes tend to be better than average. While the ravioli itself is obviously the highlight of the dish, we found ourselves scraping the bowl so that we could get a few more bites of sauce. The spinach used in the ravioli tastes very fresh, and this meal contains the perfect amount of cheese.

The pasta isn’t gluten free, but it is made with unbleached wheat flour. This makes it a little more nutritious than similar dishes on the market. If you don’t like whole wheat pasta, you may find the taste off-putting, but we enjoyed the more complex flavor.

All in all, this is a solid frozen meal. If you’re looking for a frozen ravioli to take with you to work, this is an excellent choice. It’s not a huge meal, but it’s fairly filling for a dish that contains only 300 calories. If you love spinach ravioli, you’re sure to be satisfied with this microwave dinner.
