Udi’s Bean & Green Chile Burrito Review

Udi's Bean & Green Chile Burrito

Our staff has had the chance to sample all kinds of frozen burritos. Although we often gravitate towards burritos that are a little more exotic, it’s nice to have a classic bean burrito to fall back on. Udi’s Bean & Green Chile Burrito offers a gluten-free version of a freezer staple.

However, you shouldn’t necessarily expect a classic taste from this burrito. We were expecting the filling to be spicy, but it was actually kind of sweet. Biting into it was a real surprise. This might be because the burrito contains cane sugar and tapioca syrup. The sweeter, creamier taste might please some people, but we prefer a burrito that has a little bit more kick.

Although gluten-free products occasionally have texture issues, we found this burrito to be more than fine. It was sturdy enough to keep everything in place while we ate, but soft enough to bit into without any issues. Frozen burritos can be messy, but this Udi’s dish is easy to eat.

This isn’t the best bean burrito we’ve tried. If you’re not concerned about gluten, Evol and Sweet Earth both have better offerings. That said, this is a nice option for people with dietary concerns, and it’s also a nice choice for people that don’t like a lot of spice.
