Sometimes, vegetables get a bad rap. Kids around the world have to be bribed to eat their veggies, and there are even adults that avoid them. If the picture above has your mouth watering, we can promise you that these vegetables are just as delicious as they look. The bag includes plenty of different veggies, and all of them are marvelous. We were especially impressed with the flavor of the pearl onions and the mushrooms. The mushrooms soak up plenty of sauce as they cooked, which makes them extra juicy.
Speaking of sauce, the balsamic butter sauce is fantastic. It’s a little thick once it’s cooked; the texture reminds us of gravy. The balsamic dressing gives it a bit of a kick, but the flavor of the sauce is simple enough that it doesn’t overpower the vegetables.
Even though this blend of vegetables is absolutely amazing, it’s not something you’d want to eat plain. This isn’t designed to be a meal; it’s just a bunch of veggies in a rich sauce. We think it would make an excellent side dish, but we actually chose to eat it with a meatless sausage. The resulting combination was fantastic, and we think it’d be just as good with the real deal.
