The Freezer Meal Frenzy staff enjoys potatoes of all types, but we’re especially fond of sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes aren’t actually that similar to the common potato from a botanical standpoint, but they are completely delicious. We’re also big fans of Dr. Praeger’s snacks, which is why we were excited to try the Dr. Praeger’s Sweet Potato Hash Browns.
These hashbrowns are wrapped in packages of two, which means it’s easy to cook up the perfect number of potatoes.
That said, we did encounter a minor difficulty during the preparation process. Some of our frozen potatoes were stuck together, and separating them so that we could cook them up took some effort! Once the potatoes were in the oven, however, heating them was a breeze.
Even when these potatoes are fully cooked, they’re pretty soft. Some of our hash browns actually started to fall apart when we moved them from the pan to our plate, though we were able to push them back together with a fork. They’re a little crispy on the ends, but they’re far squishier than your average hash browns.
Thankfully, anything these potatoes might lack in crunchiness is made up for with taste. They’re even more delicious than Dr. Prager’s Sweet Potato Littles, which we also loved. Since the hash browns are fairly thick, there’s tons of sweet-yet-savory flavor to enjoy. Even though these potatoes would taste great with a nice honey barbeque sauce, we’d actually recommend eating them plain; they’re good enough to eat on their own.
If you enjoy potatoes of the sweet variety, then we definitely recommend Dr. Praeger’s Sweet Potato Hash Browns. This is yet another easy-to-prepare and phenomenal snack from Dr. Praeger’s. Whether you serve them with breakfast or enjoy them with your dinner, you’ll love having these fluffy little hash browns on your plate.
