Gardein Crispy Chick’n Sliders Review

Gardein Crispy Chick'n Sliders

While the term “slider” technically refers to a steam-grilled sandwich, it’s usually used to describe miniature burgers or sandwiches. Whatever name they go by, we’re definitely fans of these tiny little treats. After all, cuteness is a quality that we value highly in our food. The Gardein Crispy Chick’n Sliders are definitely adorable, and they’re vegetarian-friendly too.

Cooking these sliders is a bit of a hassle. We chose to heat them in the oven, which left us with perfectly toasted buns, but the chick’n was cold in the middle. We wound up having to nuke them in the microwave before we dug in.

Maybe it’s because of our roundabout cooking method, but we thought these sandwiches were a little dry. There’s nothing here but buns and faux chicken patties, and the lack of condiments is very noticeable. Thankfully, that’s nothing that a little bit of mayonnaise and some lettuce can’t fix.

Even though the chick’n patties aren’t all that juicy, they’re a decent match for real chicken. If you’re a vegetarian craving a chicken sandwich, these little sliders are a meat-free way to satisfy those urges. The sliders are also pretty filling. One might not be enough to fill you up, but two sliders make for a pretty substantial meal.

We don’t completely love Gardein Crispy Chick’n Sliders, but we like them well enough. With a little bit of work, you can make them into something pretty tasty — we recommend pairing them up with your favorite seasoned fries and your preferred sandwich condiments.
