Good Food Made Simple Turkey Sausage Breakfast Burrito Review

Good Food Made Simple Turkey Sausage Breakfast Burrito

We adore frozen burritos here at Freezer Meal Frenzy, so of course we try to review as many of them as we can. Good Food Made Simple has quite a few of these frozen goodies in their lineup, and today we’re excited to be trying out the Good Food Made Simple Turkey Sausage Breakfast Burrito.

Now, you may be saying, “Wait a minute! Freezer Meal Frenzy already reviewed this product!” If so, you are correct. We reviewed this very burrito in the past. However, Good Food Made Simple updated the packaging, so we thought it would be the perfect time to revisit this old familiar friend.

Now, we used our own special little cooking method for this bad boy. We stuck the burrito into the fridge and let it thaw overnight. That’s the first step. The following day, we preheated the oven to 425 degrees fahrenheit and pulled the burrito out of the fridge. We wrapped the burrito in aluminum foil, then popped it into the oven for about 45 minutes, flipping it over at about the halfway point. Out popped the delicious-looking burrito you see in the picture below.

Many of Good Food Made Simple’s burritos have a creamy white cheddar filling. In fact, we thought this very burrito had that creamy quality the first time we tried it. Perhaps we cooked it a bit longer this time around, because it was less creamy than we were expecting it to be. Of course, there is still a soup-broth gravy flavor to this filling, though, which we find to be pretty great.

The turkey sausage has a bit of a kick to it. It’s not spicy, but it has a little bit of a peppery tingle to it. The flavor is excellent, and it really elevates this burrito to a whole new level. Now, it’s not absolutely packed with the stuff, but Good Food Made Simple wasn’t stingy with the turkey sausage here.

You’ll also find some of the usual suspects lingering in here, like cage-free eggs and a nice blend of peppers and onions. None of this is unusual, but all of it is welcome.

Now, this isn’t exactly a diet-friendly meal. Sure, at 310 calories (110 from fat), one burrito won’t derail your whole diet. However, when you consider that it might take two of these to fill you up, that calorie count starts looking a lot less pleasant.

The Good Food made Simple Turkey Sausage Breakfast Burrito is still a tasty breakfast. You probably won’t want to chow two of these every morning, but in moderation, they make for a great early-morning treat.
