While we have A/C in the Freezer Meal Frenzy offices, we still find ourselves seeking out tasty frozen treats when the weather warms up. Usually, we gravitate towards ice cream snacks; popsicles are something we haven’t really eaten since we were kids. Trader Joe’s Cold Brew Latte Dessert Bars, however, are decidedly grown-up.
There are five frozen goodies per box, and each one is individually wrapped. Having an odd number of bars might be a problem if you’re planning on splitting these treats with someone else, but it’s hard to imagine these coffee-flavored treats staying in your freezer for long.
We’re big fans of coffee-flavored ice cream, and that’s exactly what these dessert bars taste like. They’re not overwhelmingly bitter, but they aren’t all that sweet either. They taste exactly as described; like an icy, refreshing cold brew latte.
We find that some frozen treats melt too quickly, which requires you to wolf them down so that they don’t wind up all over you. Thankfully, we didn’t have any dripping issues when we were munching down these dessert bars. We were able to take our time and enjoy every creamy, coffee-tasting bite.
To us, the term “dessert bar” conjures up a picture of a treat that’s slightly larger and wider. However, we actually appreciated the smaller size of these bars. At only 40 calories a bar, you won’t have to feel too guilty about enjoying one of these snacks.
If you’re looking for an adult-friendly dessert to enjoy during the summer season, Trader Joe’s Cold Brew Latte Dessert Bars definitely deserve a closer look. They’re a great way to enjoy the taste of a latte without running out to your local coffee shop, and they’re a way to indulge cravings without spoiling your diet or appetite.

Why oh why were these discontinued??
My friends and Iloved the cold brew latte bars. We use to buy a carton, we loved them so much. Why are there no longer being sold at the Wellington store? We are all very upset That we could no longer buy them. We would like to know why they were discontinued?
