Alexia Seasoned Waffle Cut Fries Review

Alexia Seasoned Waffle Cut Fries

Waffle fries — or pommes gaufrettes if you’re fancy — are one of the best ways to enjoy fried potatoes. They might not be as easy to eat as your garden-variety french fry, but something about the crinkled texture is incredibly appealing. We loved Alexia’s Waffle Cut Sweet Potato Seasoned Fries, which is why we’ve been eager to check out Alexia Seasoned Waffle Cut Fries.

If you’re planning on cooking a full bag, heating these fries may take a while. The packaging recommends heating them for 28 to 33 minutes, but if you’re not hoping for super crispy fries, you can get away with a little bit less than that. We cooked our fries for around 20 minutes, and we were happy with the results.

The seasoning here isn’t overpowering, but it is strong enough that you can eat these fries plain. The blend of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and chili powder gives these fries flavor to spare. That said, if you’re the sort of person that prefers to slather their fries in ketchup, these seasonings won’t get in the way.

As is the case with most of Alexia’s products, the actual fries are delicious. Alexia is a cut above a lot of the other frozen fries we’ve tried. Their products border on restaurant quality, even though they’re just frozen fries heated in the oven. We can report from experience that these fries are tasty even if you leave them sitting out on your counter for a while.

If you’re a big waffle fries fan, and you’re looking for an easy way to enjoy those fries at home, Alexia Seasoned Waffle Cut Fries are something you’ll want to keep in your freezer. They’ve got the great shape of waffle fries, and they taste great too. Whether you eat your fries with or without ketchup, there’s a lot to love here.
