Morningstar Farms Spicy Black Bean Veggie Burgers Review

Morningstar Farms Spicy Black Bean Veggie Burgers

The Morningstar Farms Spicy Black Bean Veggie Burgers are allegedly America’s #1 veggie burger. We haven’t taken the time to fact-check that claim, but we can see why these burgers would be popular. They’re made with healthy ingredients, they’re low calorie, and they’re a great source of protein. We decided to see if these burgers lived up to all the hype.

If you’re in a hurry, you can microwave these patties in a little over a minute. If you don’t need to rush, however, we strongly suggest cooking them on the stovetop instead. It takes about 7 minutes to heat a patty in a skillet, and we’d say that the results are worth the extra effort.

Some veggie patties fall apart when they’re thawed, which can make them difficult to eat. Thankfully, we haven’t had that problem with these patties. Every MorningStar Farm patty we’ve cooked has been extremely solid, which means that it was easy to turn our patty into a full-fledged veggie burger.

These patties may be shaped like hamburgers, but they’re not trying to mimic meat. That’s a good thing in our books. We love being able to taste the black beans that were used to make this patty, and the chile peppers give the burger a slight kick. Morningstar Farms shows once again that you don’t have to mimic meat to make a great vegetarian product.

While we chose to eat our patty as if it was a regular burger, we’re not sure that was the best option. Even though these veggie patties aren’t heavily seasoned, they do have a strong and distinctive flavor that. We thought that our burgers with ketchup and mustard were tasty, but we think these patties would taste better with salsa or some hummus. A patty would also be great on a salad!

The Morningstar Farms Spicy Black Bean Veggie Burgers are some of the best frozen veggie burgers on the market, whether America agrees with us or not. If you’re looking for a vegetarian-friendly burger option with some southwest flavor and a little bit of kick, these are almost certainly going to satisfy that craving.

We like the Morningstar farms spicy black bean burgers very much.Only issue is that they are a little oily, but blotting with paper towels takes care of that.We have served them with and without buns, with hummus or guacamole, with beefsteak tomato slices, leaf lettuce or red onion slices, deli cheese slices etc.and they are very 😋 tasty

Like these with of course any Mexican dish but the one I like the best is the Morningstar Garden Veggie Burger because no soy, all veggies and rice and a distinctive tasty flavor. Also they’re flexible when cooking with other foods.

Hi, I really like the flavor of the spicy black bean burgers. I do put them in the microwave, 35 seconds on one side and 35 seconds on the other side. I cut it up and mix it in a garden salad that I make or have it along side broccoli and a baked sweet potato. It’s delicious no matter how you choose to eat it.😋
