Our team loves falafel, but it’s not something we get to review very often on the site. Aside from Trader Joe’s Ready-to-Eat Falafel, we really only get to enjoy this chickpea-dish when we’re reviewing TaDah! products. That’s why we were thrilled to see the TaDah! Falafel Street Wrap with Feta Green Pepper Salsa in the freezer aisle at our local Target. Falafel and a spicy green salsa sounds like a combination dreamt up in Freezer Meal Frenzy heaven.
This wrap is definitely easy to make, but you might have to make a few adjustments to the cook time listed on the box. TaDah! recommends heating this for a minute and 30 seconds on one side before flipping it over and heating it for a minute more. This left us with a wrap that was cold in the middle, which is why we had to heat it up for an extra minute. We suspect that it’s easier to heat your wrap evenly if you cook it in the oven, but we weren’t feeling patient enough for that.
The spicy green salsa is pretty simple; it’s really just tomato and green peppers. However, we were pleased to discover that it was slightly spicy. Since the wrap also contains plenty of feta cheese, the heat is never overwhelming; it’s just a nice burst of flavor in an already-pretty-tasty dish.
We do wish, however, that there was a little more salsa here. Our falafel was on the dry side, and the salsa wasn’t enough to counteract that. This may have happened because we had to cook this for longer than the recommended cook time, but it was a black mark on an otherwise delicious deal.
The TaDah! Falafel Street Wrap with Feta Green Pepper Salsa isn’t perfect, but it’s still something that we would be happy to eat again. If you decide to pick this one up, and you have more patience than we do, we strongly suggest cooking this in the oven. But even you’re impatient, like us, it’s likely that you’ll appreciate this flavorful falafel wrap.
