Trader Joe’s Corn & Green Chile Pepper Quiche Review

Trader Joe's Corn & Green Chile Pepper Quiche

Although quiches are French in origin, the word quiche actually comes from the German word “kuchen,” which means cake. We suppose a quiche is a bit like a savory, eggy cake. If you’re in the mood for cake, you may want to check out the Trader Joe’s Corn & Green Chile Pepper Quiche.

Although this does come with microwave instructions, we chose to heat it in the oven. We thought the eggs might be a bit rubbery if they were microwaved, and we knew that our microwave wouldn’t be able to give us a crispy, perfectly browned crust. It took us just over 20 minutes to cook our quiche, which isn’t bad at all.

This dish has everything you could want from a quiche, but there are also some elements that make it feel like something special. It’s loaded with several types of peppers, giving the dish a nice kick. It’s also packed with tasty cheddar cheese. The crust is even made from tortillas. The quiche is heavy in corn, which makes it a bit sweet, but a spicy salsa or some sriracha could easily counter that.

You could probably split this quiche with someone else if you paired it with some sort of side, like a nice breakfast sausage. However, it’s not too calorie-heavy if you decide to eat the whole thing on your own. The entire quiche is 470 calories, and it’s filling enough to keep you satiated for quite a while.

The Trader Joe’s Corn & Green Chile Pepper Quiche is filling and delicious. Whether you choose to eat it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you’ll find that there’s a lot to enjoy here. This is a treat for fans of the classic quiche, and it might even win over some quiche haters.
