We have to admit, since we run a website called Freezer Meal Frenzy, we’re suckers for things that have the word Frenzy in the title. So when we discovered the Trader Joe’s Raspberry, Lemon & Strawberry Fruit Frenzy Bars, we knew right away that Freezer Meal Frenzy needed to publish a review.
Admittedly, we’re reviewing these in the dead of winter, which is the worst possible time to be eating something like this. Still, they look absolutely delicious, and we can’t wait to dig in.
Each of these bars is made up of three sections. The topmost section is the raspberry portion, and it’s wonderful. It’s rich and sweet, and it has some of those tart undertones that raspberries tend to have.
The middle section is unmistakably the lemon portion. This means that as you eat your way downward, you’ll start getting raspberry lemonade vibes. Once you get fully into the lemon section, you’re in for a sour-but-oh-so-sweet lemon treat.
Last but not least, you’ll reach the strawberry portion. As you might expect, this is the sweetest part of the bar, which means all of this sweet-treat eating culminates in a burst of fruity sweetness that makes for a great finish to an already great frozen dessert.
One of these bars contains 120 calories, 10 mg of sodium, and virtually no fat. All of those numbers are very appealing. However, we should also point out that there’s 28 g of sugars, and 24 g of that is added sugars, so these desserts are loaded up with sugar.
The Trader Joe’s Raspberry, Lemon & Strawberry Fruit Frenzy Bars would be super refreshing on a hot summer day, but they still taste great when it’s snowing out and you’re huddled in a blanket by the fireplace. No matter when you decide to eat these, you’ll find a lot to love.
