Bellatoria Garlic Chicken Alfredo Ultra Thin Crust Personal Size Pizza Review

Bellatoria Garlic Chicken Alfredo Ultra Thin Crust Personal Size Pizza

Ah, Bellatoria. They may not make our favorite pizzas in the world, but they are a close relation of our favorite frozen pizza maker. See, Bellatoria falls under the umbrella of Bernatello’s Foods, which also makes Lotzza Motzza pizzas. So you could say that Bellatoria and Lotzza Motzza are close cousins. Maybe?

Anyway, today we’re stuffing our face with yet another one of Bellatoria’s offerings, the Bellatoria Garlic Chicken Alfredo Ultra Thin Crust Personal Size Pizza. We have actually reviewed the full-size version of this in the past, but today we’re checking out the smaller (and objectively cuter) personal-sized version.

Cooking this is simple. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit, then toss the pizza inside. The instructions say you can place this directly on the oven rack, but we used a baking sheet (as we usually do). According to the box, you’ll want to cook this for six to ten minutes, and we used the entire ten minutes for our pizza (ours might have taken a little longer due to the baking sheet). You can also turn your oven to broil for the last couple minutes to really get the top of your pizza toasty, but we didn’t find that to be necessary.

(If you want to read the full cooking instructions straight off the box, check out our package scans at the bottom of this review.)

The chicken here is actually pretty decent. Back when we tried the full-size version of this pizza, we ran an experiment where we gave it some extra cook time — we cooked it for about 19 minutes in total. We complained that the chicken was a little too dry, but we’re realizing that was probably our fault. With our 10-minute cook time, this stuff comes out pretty much perfect. It does taste just a little bit fake, like it was dipped in chicken broth, but that’s not necessarily the worst thing in the world. It does blend well with that garlic alfredo sauce.

And speaking of the sauce, this stuff is legit. It’s maybe just a tad heavy on the garlic side, but a lot of people are going to really like that. It’s also nice and creamy, which is a nice touch for a pizza like this.

The cheese is a blend of asiago and mozzarella. While we didn’t think it was anything special the last time we tried this pizza, we really appreciated it this time around. It really does tie the whole thing together, combining the stretchiness of mozzarella with that aged flavor of asiago. It’s pretty tasty.

This full pizza contains 360 calories (150 from fat), which honestly isn’t that bad for a chicken alfredo pizza. It’s the sodium here that will get you, though, with 970 mg. That’s a bit high, especially for anyone who’s trying to reduce their sodium intake.

While the Bellatoria Garlic Chicken Alfredo Ultra Thin Crust Personal Size Pizza won’t dethrone any of its cousins from the Lotzza Motzza line, we do think it’s a pretty tasty little pizza. It’s simple and satisfying, and we think the combination of ingredients really works for this particular pie. We can definitely see ourselves stocking our freezer with these in the future!
