We’re definitely fans of Tandoor Chef’s unique spin on pizza. Naan bread makes a perfect pizza crust, especially when it’s topped with tasty ingredients. While we usually don’t put eggplant on our pizza, Tandoor Chef Eggplant Naan Pizza has convinced us that we may need to change our ways.
As long as you have access to an oven, Tandoor Chef pizza is pretty easy to heat up. You just need to preheat your oven to 450 degrees fahrenheit and let the pizza cook for about 15 minutes. When you take it out of the oven, you’ll be left with a perfectly crispy slice of pizza.
If you’ve never had a Tandoor Chef pizza before, you should know that the naan bread crust is a little bit softer than a normal pizza crust. If you prefer a crispy crust, we’d suggest cooking it on the rack or leaving it in the oven for an extra minute or two.
As always, the naan bread crust is absolutely delicious. We love naan bread plain, but it’s even better when it’s topped with sauce and cheese. What makes this particularly pizza interesting is the inclusion of eggplant. The chunks of the eggplant are thick and substantial; you’ll have eggplant in almost every bite. We don’t always love eggplant — we often find it to be a bit spongy — but this eggplant had a nice meaty texture to it. It feels like a vegetarian take on a classic pepperoni pizza.
All of the ingredients in this pizza are delicious, and everything comes together really well. This might not taste like a traditional pizza, but to us, that’s what makes it great. Pizza and Indian food make a surprisingly good match.
Tandoor Chef Eggplant Naan Pizza might not win over eggplant haters. However, if you’re lukewarm on eggplant — and a fan of naan bread — you might want to check this pizza out. If eggplant’s not your thing, we suggest you give one of Tandoor Chef’s other tasty pizzas a try.
