Dr. Praeger’s Four Potato Hash Browns Review

Dr. Praeger's Four Potato Hash Browns

What’s better than one potato? Four potatoes, of course! Dr. Praeger’s Four Potato Hash Browns are made from red, gold, purple, and sweet potatoes, which covers a lot of potato bases. According to Dr. Praeger’s, this beautiful blend of potatoes has been “shredded into hash brown perfection.” As self-described potato aficionados, we knew we had to try this snack out.

Like some of Dr. Praeger’s other snacks, these hash browns are divided into plastic-wrapped portions of two. This is ideal if you want to enjoy some potatoes with your meal, but aren’t ready to cook up an entire box. It took us less than 10 minutes to bake half the box in the oven, and the results were crispy perfection.

While we’d say that Yukon Gold is the dominate flavor here, you can definitely taste all four of potatoes in the hash browns. The chunks of red potato are firm, and the bits of sweet potato counteract any bitterness from the purple potatoes. Each potato tastes a little bit different, and every one of these potatoes is delicious.

Hash browns are typically eaten with ketchup or another type of sauce, but we strongly recommend enjoying these hash browns plain. There are already a lot of flavors here because of the potato blend, and you really don’t need to add anything else to make this treat feel complete. Although we consider hash brown browns to be a breakfast food, we think these potatoes would be a great side to serve with a dinner entree.

If you love potatoes, you’re going to love Dr. Praeger’s Four Potato Hash Browns. It’s as simple as that. This combination really is hash brown perfection. If you have a hankering for hash browns, you might want to stray off the beaten path and give this potato blend a try.
