365 Everyday Value Bean & Cheese Burrito Review

365 Everyday Value Bean & Cheese Burrito

Since just about every frozen food company we can think of has its own line of frozen burritos, it comes as no surprise that Whole Foods’ 365 Everyday Value line includes burritos as well. We decided to take their Bean & Cheese Burrito for a spin to see how it stacks up against the incredibly vast competition.

We’d say this is a pretty standard frozen burrito, along the lines of Amy’s Cheddar Cheese Burrito or Sweet Earth’s Santa Cruz Burrito. It’s your typical bean and cheese affair.

Of course, we didn’t toss this one in the microwave, as we were instructed. We let it thaw overnight, then preheated the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. We tossed in the burrito for about 40 minutes, flipping it over halfway through. It came out a bit messy, with filling coming out of both ends, but that’s not a dealbreaker; some of our favorite foods are messy.

One thing we were surprised by was how thick the tortilla is layered. As you can see in our image above, there’s a whole lot of tortilla. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, as it gives us something to sink our teeth into.

The beans taste great. There’s a good mix of full pinto beans and the cheesy goop that fills the space between them. We really like it.

The Bean & Cheese Burrito by 365 Everyday Value won’t blow your mind, but it’s a great-tasting, high-quality burrito.
