The Alexia Organic Hashed Browns are a breakfast side we’ve been eyeing for a while. We’re big fans of Alexia products, and we absolutely love hashbrowns too. We’ve just been waiting for the right moment to cook these potatoes up.

If you’re hoping for the crispy potatoes pictured on the bag, you might be slightly disappointed. Even though we cooked them on the stovetop according to the package instructions, our hashbrowns never achieved the perfect shade of golden brown. Thankfully, what these hashbrowns lack in crispiness, they make up for in taste.

Hashbrowns will never be health food, but Alexia has done their best to minimize the number of unhealthy ingredients in this meal. These potatoes are free of trans fats and saturated fats, and they’re pretty low in calories too. We definitely don’t recommend eating an entire bag yourself, but a full bag does contain just 300 calories.

While these hashbrowns may have cut back on calories, they haven’t cut back on taste. They don’t quite taste like your traditional grease-fried breakfast food, but that’s not a bad thing. These are some incredibly tasty, perfectly seasoned potatoes that would make a perfect complement to virtually any breakfast dish. They would taste great with ketchup, but they’re flavorful enough to eat plain.

If you love hashbrowns but are trying to eat a healthier diet, Alexia Organic Hashed Browns are an option worth considering. If you take a closer look at the label, you’ll see that they’re made from natural ingredients. They’re a terrific way to satisfy your cravings while minimizing your guilt.
