Good Food Made Simple Steak & Black Bean Burrito Review

Good Food Made Simple Steak & Black Bean Burrito

Good Food Made Simple packs a lot of good stuff into their Steak & Black Bean Burrito. Or, at least the package says they do. We decided to take it for a test run ourselves to see how it stacks up against other similar burritos, such as Evol’s Shredded Beef Burrito.

To follow our longstanding tradition, we decided to heat this up using our preferred method rather than following the instructions on the packaging. We preheated the oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit, wrapped it up in tinfoil, threw it in the oven, and let it cook for about 45 minutes. We flipped it over about halfway through.

We have to warn you, of course, that after 45 minutes this will be extremely hot, You’ll want to let it cool for a good 15 minutes or so. We don’t want anyone to burn their mouths on this!

This burrito comes out of the oven  nice and crispy. We didn’t find a whole lot of beef inside this burrito, which really shouldn’t surprise us at this point. Evol’s burritos aren’t usually packed with meat either.

There’s a good deal of brown rice, though, and it tastes great. The salsa includes a bit of lime juice, which gives the rice a nice bite.

This is a pretty small burrito, so it probably won’t fill you up. At 360 calories (100 from fat), you might not want to double up on them either.

If you’re not looking for something especially filling, Good Food Made Simple’s Steak & Black Bean Burrito is a tasty snack.
