Amy’s Indian Mattar Paneer Review

Amy's Indian Mattar Paneer

Lately, we’ve been enjoying all kinds great Indian food. From curry to korma, we’ve been able to enjoy our favorite Indian meals without having to go to a restaurant. While Amy’s Indian Mattar Paneer isn’t quite as good as some of the other dishes we’ve tried, it’s definitely a decent Indian meal.

Our favorite part of the dish is the chana masala. It’s got a little bit of heat to it, but it isn’t overpoweringly spicy. We definitely recommend mixing the rice into the masala. The rice has a nice texture to it, but it’s a little bland when eaten on its own.

The organic peas and paneer cheese certainly aren’t bad, but they’re not amazing either. As you can see in the image above, the chunks of cheese are buried beneath a huge pile of peas. We would have appreciated a little more cheese; there are only a few small pieces here. Although not all of our reviewers enjoy peas, we think the quality of these ones is fairly high. They aren’t mushy, and they’re nicely seasoned.

If you’re looking for the best Indian dishes in your freezer aisle, we recommend focusing on the Tandoor Chef brand. They offer better-tasting, more authentic Indian cuisine. However, if you’re a fan of Amy’s Kitchen and want to try something new, this dish should serve you well. It’s a filling, nutrient-rich dish that also happens to be gluten-free. Even though it’s not perfect, there’s a lot to like here.
