Good & Gather Petite Quiche Collection Review

Good & Gather Petite Quiche Collection

As Minnesotans, the Freezer Meal Frenzy staff spends a lot of time at Target. We acknowledge that this is a cultural stereotype, but it’s one that started with local pride, since Target started here (and their corporate headquarters is still located here).

Anyway, because we’ve spent a ton of time wandering the fluorescent-lit halls of Target, we’ve become pretty familiar with their frozen food offerings. We remember the Archer Farms brand, for example, which was a Target store brand that eventually was discontinued. In its place came the Good & Gather store brand.

So as we’re reviewing the Good & Gather Petite Quiche Collection, we’re thinking back to when we reviewed the Archer Farms version of this same appetizer pack. We did enjoy these quite a bit back in 2019, so we’re looking forward to revisiting this to see if anything’s changed.

But first, we need to cook these, which is a simple process. Just preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit, then place the mini quiche appetizers on a baking sheet and bake for 14 to 15 minutes. We didn’t need quite that long, as we pulled ours out a few minutes early. (If you want to read the full cooking instructions straight off the box, check out the package scans at the bottom of this review.)

Good & Gather Petite Quiche Collection

These are basically quiche filling stuffed into a flakey crust. It’s a pretty delectable treat, though we did find them to be slightly dryer this time around than previously. We’re not sure if this is just a variance in batches, or if we cooked and stored them differently enough this time that we noticed the difference. Either way, these still taste great.

There are three different types of quiche here:

  • Three cheese & onion
  • Spinach & swiss cheese
  • Mushroom & pepper

The last time we reviewed these, we said the mushroom and pepper quiche was our favorite, but this time, we’re leaning toward the three cheese and onion. The difference in flavor is honestly not that pronounced, with the spinach-filled ones standing out from the pack as a little bit earthier (on account of the spinach).

There are four of each type of quiche here, but they’re quite small, and you could easily polish off all 12 without thinking about it. The detailed breakdown of nutritional information is at the bottom of this review, but note that if you eat all dozen in a sitting, you’ll be consuming 450 calories and 66 mg of sodium. To be honest, that’s not really too bad, though this doesn’t really stand as a full meal.

The Good & Gather Petite Quiche Collection was once under the Archer Farms umbrella. Not much has changed since then, aside from the fact that we found them to be a little less moist than our previous batch. Still, these make for a delightful appetizer.
