Trader Joe’s Candy Cane Joe-Joe’s Ice Cream Review

Trader Joe's Candy Cane Joe-Joe's Ice Cream

Christmas came early this year, it seems. At least, if the appearance of the Trader Joe’s Candy Cane Joe-Joe’s Ice Cream is any indication. Now, this isn’t a brand-new item, as we can find reviews of this ice cream dating all the way back to 2016 (which is the year we started Freezer Meal Frenzy). We’ve just never been able to get our hands on it before. This stuff only comes around during the holiday season, and when it’s gone it’s gone!

But luck is on our side this year. We managed to find a carton of the good stuff in mid-November. What?! So we are very, very thrilled (and chilled) to be checking out this holiday treat today.

As you can see in the image below, this ice cream blends pink peppermint and vanilla ice cream with streams of fudge, then mashes some Joe-Joe’s cookies into the mix for good measure. And we have to say, this is an absolute masterpiece of sweetness.

Seriously, we’re struggling to find words to describe just how tasty this stuff is. This is an ice cream that manages to do everything right. The ice cream itself is lovely, with a super-sweet peppermint flavor. But the addition of fudge is just over-the-top exciting. And the Joe-Joe’s cookies add a nice texture to the whole thing.

All of these ingredients are way richer than they could have been. From the moment you take your first bite, you’ll be elevated off the planet to a whole other realm. We’re not even exaggerating; this is one of the best ice creams we’ve reviewed in our six-plus years of reviewing frozen food. And that’s high praise, considering we’ve also have a review for the Trader Joe’s Banana Pudding Flavored Ice Cream under our belts.

And speaking of belts, we’re going to need to stop munching this before our actual belts snap apart! But we just can’t stop!

This ice cream contains 290 calories per serving, and a serving is about 1/3 of the container. If you go wild and eat the whole carton in a sitting, you’ll be up to 880 calories. We must warn you to be careful with this ice cream, because it’s really, really hard to stop eating it once you’ve started.

The Trader Joe’s Candy Cane Joe-Joe’s Ice Cream is, to quote The Cure, “Just like Heaven.” This holiday treat may not be easy to come by, but if you manage to see this out in the wild, snap it up before it’s all gone. Otherwise, you might end up waiting six years, like we did.
