Lotzza Motzza Pepperoni Pizza Review

Lotzza Motzza Pepperoni Pizza

Reviewing the Lotzza Motzza Pepperoni Pizza feels a bit like cheating. We’ve reviewed a ton of these frozen pizzas already, and we’ve never met a Lotzza Motzza pizza that we didn’t absolutely love. Plus, we reviewed the Micro Brew version of this same pizza not too long ago. So reviewing the full-sized version is a little bit like going into a test where the teacher gave you all the answers beforehand.

Still, we’re going to devour this amazing pizza anyway. We love Lotzza Motzza, and we’ll take any excuse we can find to eat more of their pizzas.

Like any other Lotzza Motzza pizza, this is simple to cook. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, then pop the pizza in for about 21 minutes. The package says to place it directly on the center rack of the oven, but you’ll be totally fine if you use a baking sheet. (You can read the full cooking instructions by checking out the package scan at the bottom of this review.)

Lotzza Motzza Pepperoni Pizza

This pizza has all the hallmarks of a great Lotzza Motzza pie. The pub-style crust is exactly what we want, with a thin, sort-of-crackery taste and feel. The red sauce has just a bit of spiciness to it, which is always incredible on a pizza. It’s even better when paired with a spicy meat, like pepperoni or sausage.

And, of course, there are gobs and gobs of mozzarella cheese on this. This is the main event for any Lotzza Motzza pizza, and really, it’s why we love this brand so freaking much.

Then there’s the pepperoni. Lotzza Motzza uses a really flavorful, kind of thick pepperoni that is absolutely delicious. It’s beneath the cheese, so it marinates in the sauce while the pizza cooks, which means it doesn’t get crispy like some other pepperoni does. We think that’s great, though it does mean this lacks that classic pepperoni pizza look. If you want a pizza that looks like it came out of a cartoon, this isn’t for you!

Lotzza Motzza Pepperoni Pizza

The real bad news, of course, is that Lotzza Motzza pizzas are not low in calories or sodium. One fifth of this pizza contains 350 calories (160 from fat) and 810 mg of sodium. Believe us when we say that you’re going to be tempted to eat way more than a fifth of the pizza. In fact, we’d say that double that is closer to a legitimate serving size.

The Lotzza Motzza Pepperoni Pizza is absolutely incredible. We knew it would be excellent long before we dug in, but now that we’ve tasted it, we can recommend this wholeheartedly. If you love pepperoni pizza, this is an absolute no-brainer.
