Lotzza Motzza Micro Brew Sausage & Pepperoni Pizza Review

Lotzza Motzza Sausage & Pepperoni Micro Brew Pizza

We love Lotzza Motzza pizzas, and we think both their pepperoni pizza and their sausage pizza are absolutely wonderful. In fact, their sausage pizza is among our favorite frozen pizzas. So what would happen if you mixed the two together? Magic, we’re certain.

The thing is, we don’t have to imagine what that combination would taste like, because Lotzza Motzza made it happen. Today we’re checking out the Lotzza Motzza Micro Brew Sausage & Pepperoni Pizza, the 9″ version of this classic pizza combo.

First, we’ve got to cook this puppy up. If you’ve ever cooked a frozen pizza, this should be pretty easy. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit, then pop the pizza in for about 21 minutes. The directions say to cook this directly on the oven rack, but we always use a baking sheet for our Lotzza Motzza pizzas. (If you want to read the full cooking instructions, check out the package scan at the bottom of this review.)

Like the other pizzas in the Lotzza Motzza line, this one has that thin, crackery, pub-style crust. It’s a good crust, and it gets the job done well.

While the crust is thin, the toppings are anything but. This pizza is loaded up with sauce, cheese, and meat, so you certainly won’t feel like you’re not getting your money’s worth here. And all of those toppings are quite high in quality.

The sauce is delicious. This is a lovely tomato-based sauce that has just a hint of spiciness to it. Because it’s slathered on so thick, it’s definitely a good thing that it tastes great.

The meat is excellent. We’re pretty sure the sausage that Lotzza Motzza uses is our favorite of all of their toppings. It comes in large balls of meaty goodness, with a little bit of bite that complements the sauce’s spicy undertones. The pepperoni is great as well. Since it’s buried under the cheese rather than placed on top of it, it doesn’t get crispy like, say, DiGiorno’s pepperoni does. We think that’s a great choice, but fans of crispy pepperoni might prefer other pepperoni pizzas to Lotzza Motzza’s.

And, of course, this wouldn’t be a Lotzza Motzza pizza without, well, lotzza motzza. This sucker is absolutely gobbed with ooey-gooey mozzarella cheese, and it’s absolutely wonderful. So many other pizzas skimp out in the cheese department, but Lotzza Motzza takes this part of their pizzas very seriously, and we adore them for it.

Now we’re going to talk about nutrition content, so you might want to sit down for this. One third of this pizza contains 380 calories (180 from fat) and 900 mg of sodium. That means a full pizza contains 1,140 calories (540 from fat) and 2,700 mg of sodium. This is billed as a “Personal Pizza,” which means those numbers are absolutely wild. Of course, we actually don’t think you’ll feel the need to eat a full pizza in one sitting, but 2/3 is probably closer to a realistic serving size (with the other 1/3 stored in the fridge for when you get hungry later on).

We knew the Lotzza Motzza Micro Brew Sausage & Pepperoni Pizza would be incredible before we had our first bite. But now that we’ve eaten it, we stand behind it 100 percent. While this isn’t going to be a great choice for dieters, it’s definitely amazing for anyone who’s looking to indulge a bit. This is one top-notch pizza.
